    THE LEAD < W. MICHAEL < BIO

I was born in Buffalo, New York, My mother was a housewife and my dad worked for Autolite as a corporate salesman.

Our car was a Ford Galaxie 500...

and there was already 3 more of us kids. My dad was an Air force pilot in World War II, and was one of the first to fly over Hiroshima after they dropped the "A" Bomb.

We moved around a lot as kids-- my dad was constantly being transferred from one region to another. We spent a great deal of time in New Haven, Connecticut. We would take the train into NYC and go to Radio City Music Hall. Back then you could smoke cigarettes in the theatres and my dad would go through a pack of Kent's watching a show. Later in college, I smoked unfiltered Camels until my asthma got so bad I had to quit. I mostly lived in the Midwest and raised 2 children there. My son and his friend, David Chappelle, wanted to be stand up comedians. So I began taking them to the local comedy club. We would sit around together and dream up jokes. It was a welcome relief away from my day job as an ad man.

David got a Disney contract at 16. And he and my son both still live in the same small town where they grew up in. My son owns an art shop and ad agency there along with his talented wife. They have a daughter named Raine.

My daughter got married to a man with the same last name as the Wright brothers. They live in the country and he has a talent for fixing and building things. He is also an artist and she is a great mother to their two children, Logan and Sophia.

I now live in Denver. I had a place there for years, but just visited it occasionally. I now enjoy bike riding, the mountain trails and the great outdoors.

But being the way I am, I like to stay busy. So I started a company called MileHigh Interactive. It's a digital marketing company that specializes in online tools and delivery systems. But I have always enjoyed the law. In fact, I planned to go to law school, but my son came along and I shifted to more urgent plans.

I worked for LexisNexis, which kept me close to the law. Almost everyone there was an attorney. And of course, I got to know some of the nation's top law firms.  So, it just seemed natural to start my own Law Marketing firm...MileHigh Law Marketing. It's fairly new, but I know good people around the country who have worked with me in the past and have joined me in this new endeavor.

For now, I enjoy my new life out west. Welcome to MileHigh!
